Volunteer Expectations

The role of a counselor is a unique experience. You get the chance to work with kids in different grade levels ranging from 2-12th grade, helping them grow their connection with nature and their relationship with God.

Commitment

As a counselor, you will be living on site along with the children and are required to spend days/weeks with them. All staff must participate in training and California State Background checks. Counselors show up the night before campers.

Camper Care

The counselors bring excitement to camp! Being present and enthusiastic is vital to a fun week for the campers. Building relationships with our campers creates the community we desire and is our first tool for behavior management. Many of our campers will come with questions about God and Faith. These questions don't need the perfect answer but thoughtful spiritual reponces from adults who care.
